What Women Look For
You hear a lot these days about the huge, manly trucks on the road. All the commercials are geared toward rugged and rough driving, but that doesn’t exactly appeal to the female audience. What do women look for on the road? Do you think you know? In this post, we’ll discuss some of the things women look for in their vehicles.
Cars and Women Work, Too
So what do women want in a car? Here are five of the things women have stated that they look for when searching for an automobile:
- Gas mileage
- Aesthetic appeal
- Reliability
- Comfort
- The quality of the make and model
As you can see, these are features that pretty much all of us want. They really do not differ between the sexes. The order of the list may, but, in general, everyone seems to want the same thing.
What Cars Do Women Choose
This question changes according to age. When women start out driving, they tend to look for something more affordable and safe. This often comes in the form of a Nissan Versa or a smaller Toyota. However, likes and dislikes change over time. When women get ready to have a family, they tend to opt for a minivan or a sports utility vehicle.
What Features Are Important
Studies show that women put safety first. They look for safety features like anti-lock brakes and airbags. Instead of the “manly” features, a woman opts for safety. Maybe men should take a cue from them and weight safety more heavily in their purchase decisions.
Cars are not often associated with women like they are with men, but women have very specific wants and needs when it comes to cars. They have shown just as much of an interest in cars as men have, but that often times may go unnoticed because of the manliness that one associates with most cars.
