Range Rover
At Land Rover dealers, the Range Rover’s consumer retail price opens at $77,250. Land Rover prides itself in the production of heavy-duty, all terrain luxury vehicles, and the Range Rover is the company’s standard-bearer of luxury Sports Utility Vehicles. The Range Rover HSE comes equipped with a 4.4L 305-horsepower V8 engine, while its counterpart the Range Rover Supercharges boasts a 4.2L 400-horsepower V8 engine. For the sheer power an extra 95-horsepower affords, buyers can expect to pay at least $92,750 for the standard “supercharged” version of the Range Rover.
All Range Rovers seat five adult passengers. The SUV has a six-speed adaptive automatic transmission with CommandandShift mode, Terrain Response, and an electric park brake. Safety features include electronic 4-corner air suspension as well as nine-airbag supplemental restraint system.
Range Rover Sport
Standard Range Rover Sports start at $58,500. Engine specifications on these models include 4.4L 300-horsepower V8 engine. The supercharged vision of this Land Rover model boasts an impressive 4.2L 390-horsepower V8 engine. The Range Rover Sport “Supercharged” starts retail at $71,950. State of the art amenities included in all standard Range Rover Sport models is a touch-screen DVD-based satellite navigation system; front and rear Park Distance Control systems; and electronic cruise control with both audio and cruise controls mounted into the actual steering wheel. The Range Rover Sport also includes 14 speakers worth of 550-watt harmon/kardon Logic 7 audio.
LR2
The LR2 is one of Land Rover’s more modestly priced all-terrain vehicles: retail for standard LR2s starts at $34,700. This luxury SUV comes fully stocked with leather seats, a nine-speaker audio system, sunroof, and 59 cubic feet of interior cabin space. Safety measures include seven airbags strategically positioned throughout the cabin, an enhanced breaking system, and Roll Stability Control. An expanded front crumple zone allows the vehicle to absorb more force upon the impact of an auto accident. Consequently, the clever design of the model’s engine not only expands the interior room of the cabin, it also makes the car safer. The LR2 runs on a 3.2L in line 6 engine and boasts 320-horsepower.
