One of my kids is getting to the age where he is really starting to notice different cars that are on the road. At first he would just notice the different colors, and comment on how fast they were going (if he only knew!). Lately though, he has started saying “I want that one.” It depends on his mood, but sometimes he can say it 5 or 6 times a car ride. The other day however he only said it once and I expected to see the standard red sports car. I was shocked, however, when I turned my head and did not see that red car. The car I saw was the…
2005 Chrysler Crossfire Convertible
Now, I do not get infatuated with cars very often, because I generally just think that they are an ego show by some guys to see who can get the better car. This Chrysler Crossfire Convertible was different. It literally looked like a bullet cutting through the air and the roads. My son and I could both agree that the shininess of the automobile helped as well. I would be naive to think that look does not matter. This car has a great look. The slick design shows that it has advanced to the future, but you can still see little bits of a classic car design within it. This car is definitely a little sporty and is only a two seater. I was also shocked to find out that Chrysler’s parent company is actually Mercedes-Benz, so I knew I would be driving in style.
A Bit of the Features
The 2005 was the first year that this design had the convertible. My son just liked it because he thought it would be cool to be outside while driving. I had to remind him that he won’t be driving for many years. I could have the choice of either a manual or automatic. Since my son liked the look I knew I must check out the safety. Anti lock brakes, air bags, and all you could possibly want. Remote keyless entry comes standard. This means that my son will be impressed because his dad could unlock the car from a long way away. What goes better with a summer’s day then the top down with music playing? This car has the stereo system to help with my listening and my son’s listening (The Wiggles for him, Hannah Montana for his sister). I chose this older model because I really wanted to get in on the car from the beginning (2004 was the first year).
This was definitely a great choice I has made in a car until the wife reminded me that this was fantasy. Great, another fantasy she has ruined! I think I made a pretty solid decision in a car though, and maybe some day my son and his father will be able to own one and ride around town in it. Who knows, he might even be the one to buy it for his old man. I could only hope! If you are looking into a Chrysler automobile, then check out my dream: the 2005 Crossfire Convertible.
